It is very hard to change our dietary habits. They are more of a mind thing than a diet thing. So I have addressed diet also but from a psychological perspective of change needed and rearranging our habits of how we eat.
Coffee Replacement as an early morning hot beverage. Coffee has caused inflammation and acid reflux for me. This makes for three to five people, so adjust the portions accordingly.
Black tea – three tsp
40 oz water
Ginger root – 4 oz
Turmeric root – 2 oz
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Cardamom – 3 whole
Cinnamon – ¼ tsp
Cloves – 3 whole
Almonds – 2 oz
Fennel seeds – ¼ tsp
Fenugreek – ¼ tsp
Honey- 3 tsp
Boil water and add the black tea. Separately grind almonds with 4 oz of water until smooth. Keep it aside. Grind ginger, turmeric, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, fennel seeds and fenugreek in a grinder with some water like 8 oz added. Once tea has boiled for 5 min, add the ground liquid. Boil for another 10 min. Filter the boil into a flask. Add almond milk and honey or drink it black like the way you drink your coffee.
The ginger acts as an energizer and metabolism kick starter and turmeric acts as an anti-inflammatory. Dairy milk is inflammatory so the need for almond milk substitute.
